The Living Archive for Planetary Futures

HeartTalks is a space for conversations on how we care—for people, for health systems, and for the planet we live on. From clinical realities to ethical and societal questions, this blog explores what humane, sustainable healthcare can look like.

I’ve spent my career learning that a heart doesn’t beat in a vacuum. It beats in a traffic jam in Bengaluru, in a high-pressure office, and on a warming planet. HeartTalks is my attempt to look outward—exploring the people, processes, and planetary forces that define our wellbeing. Because healing the heart is only half the battle; we have to heal the world it lives in, too.

Earth to Us: Time for a Global Group Hug?

We’ve treated Earth like an all-you-can-eat buffet and skipped the bill. It’s time to move from “using” the planet to Planetary Stewardship. Here’s the HeartTalk vibe:

Resilient, Not Just Fast: Sustainability isn’t a boring chore; it’s deep care. It’s about trading “fast and easy” for “real and lasting.”

Old Roots, New Tech: Our ancestors had the original “owner’s manual” for Nature. By mixing indigenous wisdom with modern science, we aren’t going backward—we’re upgrading our survival strategy.

Stop “Mining,” Start Minding: Land and water aren’t just “stuff” to own; they are systems we actually live inside of. If we keep “mining” our business instead of minding the planet, we’re all going to feel the heat.

We aren’t just on the planet; we are the planet. It’s time to stop being high-maintenance guests and start being better roommates. After all, there’s no “Plan B”

Rooted in Reality, Guided by Heart

HeartTalks is where we bridge the gap between facts and feelings to live more intentionally. We believe that by looking at the world with curiosity and care, we can turn everyday choices into a meaningful legacy. It’s about being better roommates to the Earth, smarter students of science, and more patient travelers of our own life stories. Here, we don’t just exist; we evolve, one heartbeat at a time.
